Thomaston Fire Department Welcomes a New Unit

After years of searching for a new truck, Thomaston Fire Department in Connecticut finally found the perfect one, a 2015 Rosenbauer 101’ Platform Quint, from Command Fire Apparatus.

It was through a Facebook ad from Command that Glenn Clark, the assistant fire chief, found out about the 2015 Rosenbauer. From contact to actually receiving the truck, it took about three months but Clark said he appreciated how accommodating Chief Glenn Usdin from Command Fire was.

Out of the entire experience, Clark appreciated his interactions with Glenn. The department needed to propose the purchasing of the truck to the local boards and people so the truck was saved for them until everything was fully approved.

“[Glenn] is very honest and we would go through it [the process] again.” Clark said.

Everyone in the Thomaston community has been pleased with the new truck and have been surprised at the excellent condition the truck came in.
