Double Springs Fire Department Finds Exactly “What They Needed”

Last April, the Double Springs Fire Department purchased a 2000 E-One Pumper Tanker from Command Fire Apparatus. Allen Ward found out about Command through Facebook and has been following Command for about a year. Ward originally followed so that he could easily see a truck that would suit his needs.. The department’s recent purchase was exactly “what they needed and what they wanted,” Ward said.

As the first truck purchased by the department, the 2000 E-One Pumper Tanker, with 13000 miles and 1100 engine hours, was chosen because it had all the specific requirements that they wanted.

An added benefit to their purchase was the A/C that came with the unit. The A/C has been very well utilized by the department. Ward said they were also looking for a jumper seat to make it easier to have people in the front.

“Everyone in the town is amazed at how big the truck was” Ward said.
