The C.C. Camp Fire Department of Elkin, North Carolina weighed their options on a couple of trucks before ultimately deciding to purchase their 2001 Saulsbury 1500/600 Rescue Pumper from Command Fire Apparatus.
“We originally had a quote for a brand new truck,” commented Chief Lanny Whitaker. “Once we found the pumper on Command Fire we knew that we were going with a used truck.”
The department had a list of requirements for the truck they were in the market for. Almost all these requirements were met with the unit they ended up purchasing from Command Fire. They were able to obtain the perfect truck for their department at a lesser price than a new unit.
“The setup of the truck was almost exactly what we were looking for. The price was lower and it fulfilled our needs so it was really a no-brainer,” commented Whitaker.
The chief expressed that he and the rest of the C.C. Camp department was overtly pleased with their experience of working with Glenn, having their unit delivered, and using the truck on their calls.
